It’s already been a wild day for those who have been wanting news about Nintendo Switch 2 and what you might be able to play on it. As we noted a little bit ago, it’s possible that the two remake entries of Final Fantasy VII might be coming to the platform when it launches this year, but it apparently doesn’t end there! On his show, Nate the Hate revealed that Halo The Master Chief Collection might be coming to both Switch 2 and PS5! Oh, and Flight Simulator 2024 might be coming to the platforms, as well.
You can find the “reveal” at the 54-minute mark in the video below, and it’s quite a shocking thing to hear for multiple reasons. Halo has only ever been on Xbox and PC in the past, making it one of the genuine “killer apps” of the platform. However, the series has fallen on hard times post-OG trilogy, which might be Microsoft’s way of getting attention back on it.
Keeping it with the Nintendo Switch 2 for now, the reason that many would likely want this to happen for real is because if Halo does officially arrive on a Nintendo platform, that means that Master Chief could end up in Super Smash Bros., which would blow the gaming community’s collective conscience.
