Guilty Gear Strive‘s anime, Dual Rulers received a trailer and a release window. Previewed at the Anime Expo last year, the new show’s first showing will be on Crunchyroll. Several Gears and Daredevils make an appearance. Baiken, Goldlewis, Bridgette, and many others are brought into the plot created by the need to continue the Crusades after claims of it being done with.
Turns out that the new kid on the block wants to end the Crusades(again) and the Gears, too. She’s also a S+++ threat, meaning Urika is seemingly more powerful than Dizzy. As to how she’s connected to the Gears remains to be seen, but she’s out for them and not afraid to take on anyone. Especially Ky Kiskye. Unika believes that she can save the world. Especially during Ky’s wedding to Dizzy. Not the best honeymoon for the hero of the Crusades.
And with that, Sin and Sol Badguy are dragged in by proxy. Even Jonny isn’t escaping from Urika’s warpath against the Gears. Who is this mysterious girl who has her sights set on the Gears, but only brings chaos wherever she goes?
Urika will also be available later this year, in Guilty Gear Strive as a DLC character, to solidify her presence in the game’s lore. While Venom and Lucy, from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, is still due to appear, perhaps the anime will give a few hints as to what to expect from the “world-saving hero” and her kit. As for Guilty Gear Dual Rulers, it will be coming to Crunchyroll in April. The Guilty Gear Strive Switch Edition will be coming out on January 23rd.
