Date Everything! Delayed to June 2025

By Sean GarmerJanuary 31, 2025
Date Everything

After officially being announced around six months ago, Sassy Chap Games’ Date Everything! turned the idea of a dating simulator on its head by literally living up to its name and letting you date, well, everything. Ever thought that your vacuum cleaner may secretly have a crush on you? Or perhaps your fridge may be interested in being more than just a storage container? No? Well, at least Date Everything! makes you think of the possibilities.

Unfortunately, yesterday’s announcement regarding the game leaves those anticipating its release with some mixed feelings. Sassy Chap Games and Team 17 posted on social media that Date Everything! would miss its perfect February 14 release date and suffer a delay to June 2025. This is actually the game’s third delay since its initial announcement with its first release window set for October 2024.

In the aforementioned social media post, lead designer Ray Chase stated they are hard at work on the game and feel the game has reached its optimal state.

At this point I can confidently say we’ve reached that point where the game is complete to a standard that we feel reached our goals with no compromise in our bonkers artistic vision.

Furthermore, Chase mentions he became too confident they could test all the content and pathing prior to February 14, but this was not the case and thus need more time to make sure they get things right. He does state that the bug list is dwindling down and Chase did not want to do players a disservice by submitting it in this state.

We have our final release date of June 2025. And while it isn’t quite as sexy a Date as Valentine’s Day, we hope we can bring sexiness to June evermore. And yes, you can actually date the glitches. Their name is Daemon and I’m currently in a Love/Hate relationship with them.

.

As is the case with delays, although its unfortunate that the game won’t be out next month, hopefully the extra time helps the development team get the game out in the best state possible.

Players can now look forward to putting on their Dateviator’s in Date Everything! when it comes to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch in June 2025.
