Rumor: Astral Chain 2 Is Rumored To Still Be In Development

But there's a key catch you'll need to know...

Astral Chain 2

Update: Please keep in mind that this is rumored information. We can not confirm this is legit or not as of this moment.

There were numerous reasons that led to the success of the Nintendo Switch, with one of them being that developers were given the chance to do all manner of titles that might not have gotten picked up on other systems. PlatinumGames made multiple things for the Switch, including a new IP with heavy anime stylings that sold over a million units on the Switch. Since then, hopes for Astral Chain 2 have grown, but given the state of PlatinumGames overall and the fact that the title hasn’t been spoken of aloud, it hasn’t helped things.

However, as revealed on Reddit via an “inside source, the game is still in the works, it’s just taken a while to get movement on it. Apparently, the game got started early, but then the dev team got scattered to other projects. Eventually, Nintendo got involved:

“Nintendo themself reboot Astral Chain 2 project after significant delays and money being recklessly spent by Platinum Games. I don’t know if this was always the case, but from that point onward, the game was planned as a title for the Nintendo Switch 2.“

The Redditor highlighted that things aren’t looking good at PlatinumGames, so while this game is in the works…it might be a while before we see anything from it. In other words: stay tuned.
