While it may not be the game that many wanted to see from the DK crew, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be the first major Nintendo Switch title to come out next year. In fact, it comes out on January 16th, so we’re only about a month away from its arrival. While many have played the game before in its Wii or 3DS forms, the Switch version will offer more upgrades outside the typical visual overhaul. To help cement that, Nintendo dropped an overview trailer for you to watch.
One of the big changes to the game is the ability to play “Modern Mode,” which will allow players to have more hearts to take on dangers with and more “guards” during things like the mine cart sections. Plus, you can play the game in co-op with a friend, even if it just means sharing the Joy-Cons with your friend so you can play DK and Diddy Kong together.
