Blizzard announced a myriad of updates coming to World of Warcraft Classic and Season of Discovery. Below are the announcements that they made:
New Servers
Blizzard recognized that players wanted something new so they announced that new PvE, PvP, and Hardcore realms would launch and classic progression would start anew on these realms. Starting with Vanilla, players will once again trudge to level 60; however, they stated that there is no rush as the Molten Core raid will not be released for a few weeks after launch.
The new servers are scheduled to launch on November 21!
Blizzard did confirm that these realms will progress all the way through The Burning Crusade
Season of Discovery Phase 7
Blizzard announced that Season of Discovery is going to be taking us to Naxxramas, Deadwind Pass, and launch the storyline of The Scarlet Crusade!
In the case of the Scarlet Crusade, Blizzard said that players will be able to experience this story with a brand-new instance!
While nothing is confirmed, the campaign through Deadwind Pass did hint at something involving the Karazhan Crypts.
They did announce that Phase 7 will be the final phase of Season of Discovery with Naxxramas being the final endgame raid of the phase.
Classic Heads to Mists of Pandaria
The Hour of Twilight is nigh and will be released in Summer 2025. There, Cataclysm Classic will come to an end and, as with the natural order of things, Mists of Pandaria Classic will be the next stop. Just as we experienced with the original Mists of Pandaria launch, the Pandaren, the Monk class, and Pet Battles will be a part of the new Classic expansion along with the original raids, dungeons, and scenarios.
