The Nintendo Music app was definitely a shocker when it dropped last week without warning or tease. Nintendo has a habit of doing things like that lately. Anyway, while the app hasn’t been perfect, many acknowledge that it could be the definitive place to listen to soundtracks from past gaming eras. Today, Nintendo dropped a bit of a surprise when it uploaded the entire Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest onto the app. You can get right to it via the QR code in the tweet below:

So, yeah, that happened! While this is yet another surprise by Nintendo, it does tease something that will likely happen in the future. By that, we mean that they could drop whole game OSTs from series like The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, Pikmin, Mario, F-Zero, and maybe even Pokemon! Nintendo will likely space these out while also keeping the releases flowing so that people keep coming to the app.
Any bets on the game that gets dropped next?
