Coreupt’s demo was released last week. Created by the Coreupt team, this is a cyberpunk 1 v 1 2D fighter. In the demo are a couple of things so far such as matchmaking in a rollback supported Online versus, offline versus, and 4 characters ready to go. Gatling, Winry, Destroy, and Baretta.
From a high-level peek, Coreupt takes some inspiration from different games of the genre. It does sport some Guilty Gear-esque mechanics, such as combo-interrupting bursts and directional air dashing. Also, some tag team versus fighting ones such as high jumps and OTG-heavy combos. The Special bar seems to control – well, special moves almost similar to Art of Fighting’s approach.
Revealed by Rooflemonger is the fact that wave-dashing, a 3D fighting game technique, can also be performed here. Coreupt itself has been in development for a while and is now available to test out with rollback netcode. At the current time, no other consoles have been mentioned for the unknown release date.
Update: There’s a very nice Coreupt beta impressions article over on Supercombo.gg, and I highly recommend you give it a read.

As it stands, Coreupt doesn’t have a release date, but the release window the last time I checked is still 2024 and the game will be released for the PC.
