It’s been a long time coming, but Square Enix’s Dragon Quest III HD-2D, a full remake of Dragon Quest III, a game I spent a very long time with back during the NES era, called Dragon Warrior III, is almost in our hands. However, while we still have a month’s wait, that hasn’t stopped Square Enix from teasing us with some new Dragon Quest III HD-2D gameplay from the game.
As posted by the PlayStation Blog, 7 minutes of gameplay which should either make the wait even harder for you or be just enough to keep you going. I’ll leave it up to you to decide.
But that’s not all, as over on the Nintendo YouTube channel, the Dragon Quest III HD-2D Overview trailer has been released. Here, we’ll get a voice-over of what’s new, including

Dragon Quest III HD-2D isn’t just a pretty remake, as a new exclusive game mode called Dragon Quest III HD-2D Monster Arena Tournaments, has been added. Here, players will take on monsters that are located in areas scattered across the world, complete with a ranked tournament system. It’s just something extra for players to enjoy while they need a break from saving the world.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D went gold on September 2024, and we had a chance to go hands-on with the game During the 2024 Summer Game Fest, needless to say, we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
