During Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds October 2024 Showcase, Capcom has finally announced that it will host an Open Beta for its upcoming flagship title of 2025. This open beta will be coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The beta will be divided into multiple play sessions, with PlayStation Plus subscribers getting three days of early access. Any tier of PlayStation Plus is eligible for early play. If you’re not subscribed to PlayStation Plus, Xbox Game Pass Core, or Ultimate, you can still participate in the open beta, but you’ll have to wait until regular access begins. The open beta will also support crossplay!
As a bonus, anyone who participates in the Monster Hunter Wilds open beta will receive a Stuffed Felyne Teddy pendant that will carry over to the full game.

This will be a great time to see how the game performs across all platforms, that’s going to be the most important thing for me. Especially since I’ll be playing on PC. Speaking about the PC, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds PC system requirements if you’re also thinking about playing on PC.
Monster Hunter Wilds releases on February 28, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
