With BioWare’s upcoming RPG, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, set to release in two weeks, the developer has announced when players will be able to preload the game and what the PC specifications are for those planning to play on PC.
The Xbox Series X|S will be able to preload on October 14 at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT, while the PlayStation 5 will have preloading available on October 29 at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT. However, PC gamers will be disappointed to learn that there will be no preloading, and they will only be able to download the game starting on the release date of October 31 at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT.
Unfortunately, PC gamers are facing restrictions due to the prevalence of datamining, which has led developers to withhold preload options for this title. As a result, downloading the game on launch day is likely to be challenging, as the servers will probably be overloaded.
On a positive note, BioWare has confirmed that Dragon Age: The Veilguard on PC will not include Denuvo. The game will also be available on Steam, eliminating the need for the EA launcher. Additionally, it will be playable on the Steam Deck, as well as devices like the ROG Ally / Ally X and the Lenovo Legion GO, making these excellent options for players looking to enjoy the game on PC.
Check out the Dragon Age: The Veilguard PC Specs below, which includes Ray Tracing disabled and enabled. These specs run the gauntlet of being accessible for lower-end, mid-range, and super-powered PCs. Interestingly enough, there’s no call for the RTX 4090, though if you have one it won’t hurt.
