What Happens When You Cleanse A Prism In Remnant 2

By Keith MitchellSeptember 25, 2024
Remnant 2 - Cleanse a Prism

With the release of the latest DLC for Remnant 2, titled Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon, a significant update has overhauled the Fragment system, introducing a new way to enhance your characters: Prisms. Essentially, you feed a Prism various fragments, and as it levels up, it adopts the characteristics of those fragments. By continuing this process, you’ll eventually create a powerful Prism with numerous buffs and benefits from your fragments.

However, there is an option called Cleanse Stone, that becomes available once the Prism is completely leveled up. Unfortunately, there’s little information on what this option actually does. Initially, I thought it might be similar to a rollback feature, allowing me to level up my Prism again using the fragments I had previously fed it. However, that is not the case at all.

When you cleanse a Prism, you lose everything. All the fragments you’ve fed to the Prism are gone, and you will need to start over from scratch. Keep in mind that a Prism has 50 levels, plus a final upgrade at level 50, meaning you’ll need a significant number of fragments to upgrade it fully.

I advise you to use the cleanse option only if you are unhappy with the buffs you’ve received and genuinely want to start over, as you’ll be beginning from square one.

Check out our review of Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon; the final DLC for Remnant 2, but perhaps the best one as well.
