ReachOut Australia Launches ReachOut, Level Up Streaming Fundraiser for August

ReachOut

From August 25th to 31st, ReachOut Australia will be hosting its inaugural ReachOut, Level Up streaming initiative, which aims to bring together streamers and ambassadors from around the nation to help raise funds and awareness for crucial youth mental health support programs in Australia.

ReachOut Australia has been supporting the mental health of young people across Australia for over 25 years, offering free, online, and anonymous resources. ReachOut, Level Up aims to highlight the importance of accessible mental health support as 40% of young people in Australia currently face mental health challenges, with suicide being the leading cause of death among 14 – 25 year olds.

The week-long event hosted on Twitch will feature a diverse lineup of streamers, encouraging anyone else who wants to get involved to sign up and get involved, whether it’s streaming a game, an arts and crafts tutorial or just to chat. What’s more, is that there’s a chance to earn some epic rewards along the way.

“We recognise that after friends and family, the internet is often the first place young people turn to for support when experiencing mental health difficulties. We know that a large portion of young people are both online and gaming, so we are excited to launch this fundraiser to build awareness of ReachOut’s services and connect with these young gamers where they are,” said Tracey Campbell, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at ReachOut. “By partnering with Twitch streamers, we aim to create awareness among their audiences that there is a safe space available if they’re going through tough times or looking for that extra support”.

ReachOut, Level Up will be taking place from August 25th to 31st on Twitch. To learn more, donate and get involved, please visit: https://tiltify.com/reachout-australia/reachout-level-up-2024

About ReachOut Australia:

ReachOut has been supporting young people and their families through free, accessible and online mental health support for over 25 years, fostering a safe place for them to connect with communities and support when they’re going through a tough time.

40% of young people in Australia are currently experiencing a mental health difficulty, and suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people aged 14-25. The good news is, we can help change this as after friends and family, the internet is the first place young people turn to get support.

ReachOut wants to meet young people where they are, including social media and online platforms. Streamers have created their own spaces for their community to come together, and ReachOut wants to raise awareness to your audience that there is a safe place to go if they are having a tough time and need some support to feel better.
