Given that we’re still waiting on an “official announcement” from Nintendo about their next console, including when it’ll release, what it looks like, the games that will be on it and launch, etc., we’re looking for any insight that could help give us clues as to what’s coming. For example, Money DJ from China revealed that a company, Weltrend Semiconductor Inc., posted in their latest financial report that they will see a big surge in the third quarter of this fiscal year due to the making of certain systems, including the Nintendo Switch 2!
While they didn’t mention the Switch 2 by name, they did mention Nintendo. There would be no need for a big surge for the basic Switch, as its sales numbers have been slowing down recently. They can make as many as they need without much of an issue right now.
With the Nintendo Switch 2, however, The Big N will want to have as many models of it ready for launch, whenever that is, so that they don’t have to deal with shortages. We know from another report that the Switch 2 will likely have big 3rd party support in its launch window, so having as many systems available for purchase at launch, mixed with a strong gaming roster, could help ensure big sales.
