Netherrealm Studios just released the Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay trailer for Cyrax today. Cyrax is a part of the Khaos Reigns expansion for season 2. Apparently, in the rebooted timeline, Cyrax and Sektor are humans using a technologically advanced suit.
With some tracking projectiles in hand to stun enemies, and other bombs to launch targets, as well as the signature green net, Cyrax is taking no prisoners. Debuted in Mortal Kombat 3, the Lin Kuei assassin is ready to take on challenges. Apparently, a wedding is taking place, and of course, it reminds Johnny Cage of a scene.
During the trailer, Cyrax shows off her Animality – a finishing move that turns the user into an animal to end the foe.
Cyrax comes in the Khaos Reigns expansion with Sektor and Noob Saibat in tow available from the start. Guest characters Scream‘s Ghostface, Terminator 2 T1000, and Conan from Conan The Barbarian will be available later in the year. The expansion will be released on September 24th. Animalities are also going to be available.
Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
