    Anime Expo 2024: VIZ Media Acquires RWBY Series from Rooster Teeth

    It was announced during their industry panel at Anime Expo that VIZ Media has acquired the RWBY series in the wake of Rooster Teeth shutting down. The acquisition includes the rights for future distribution, production, licensing, and consumer products.

    VIZ stated that they will be seeking to produce new chapters for the series.

    VIZ previously published the RWBY manga which included Shirow Miwa’s adaptation of the web-animated series that ran in Ultra Jump.
