For Street Fighter VI, a lot of QOL changes will be coming to the game today. Some of these are some pretty nostalgia-hitting moves for the game.
More QOL improvements and additional features coming with the M. Bison Update.
[Battle Settings]The "Sound" option has been added to the Customize Challenges menu. In addition to the default match making sound, 6 types of sounds from the Street Fighter series will be available. pic.twitter.com/B2lq9aTOyy— Street Fighter (@StreetFighter) June 25, 2024
– The Here Comes A New Challenger screen will get customization by letting players choose what sound to use. Sound bytes/announcers from Street Fighter, Super Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Ultra Street Fighter IV, and Street Fighter V, will also be available use to replace the original sound.
-This will add the “Notification Display” option to the Privacy Settings (allows settings such as restricting notifications to Friends/Club Members Only).
– Resetting the win/loss records for matches and tournaments can be done through the “Change Match Settings”.
– Playback options “1.1x” and “1.2x” speeds, for replays, will be added. “Rewind Frame” can also be used.
– Getting to Training Mode will be easier to do from the Main Menu by pressing the [□ button / X button / R key].
– Knowing when a Critical Art can be used will now have the health bar flash. The burnout state for the Drive Gauge will be easier to spot even in dark stages. In a sense, the health bar situation does look oddly familiar to a certain series.
The Power Mad dictator will start his impromptu reign today. To get a head start, the Character Guide, for M. Bison, is available straight from Capcom.
The Return of Shadowloo For Street Fighter VI
M. Bison will officially start the Season 2 run with Fatal Fury vets Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui to follow him in both Fall 2024 and Winter 2025 respectively. Street Fighter III’s Elena will finish the roster in Spring 2025. The character count will bring us to 26 World Warriors, in Street Fighter VI, by that time. There is sure to be a balance patch to come with the update, also.
Street Fighter VI is available for PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox Series X | S, and Steam.
