As I made clear in my recap of the most recent Nintendo Direct, The Big N threw out some big surprises that no one saw coming to prove that the Nintendo Switch still had some juice left in it. One of the biggest surprises was that of Mario & Luigi Brothership. After all, as noted on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, Nintendo themselves said that the series wasn’t likely to come back because of “other RPGs starring Mario.” Clearly, they changed their minds, and we’re all grateful for it!
While there’s only one trailer and only a handful of details about the new title, GameFile heard from Nintendo, who admitted that some of the original team from the series are back to help make the game great. The Big N is being a bit secretive about things, but that’s how they’ve played it recently, just look at the Mario voice actor situation from last year for proof of that.
Regardless, Mario & Luigi Brothership looks to be an exciting new entry in the series, and hopefully the start of something new! We’ll find out more when the game releases on November 7th!
