If you’re a fan of Final Fantasy VII and located in the New York City metropolitan area, you may want to get to Carnegie Hall. The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth orchestra will stop at the famed concert hall on January 11th for two performances. As of today, tickets are now on sale at Carnegie Hall’s website. And like a Gold Saucer Chocobo Race, they’re going fast.
As for what fans can expect, Square Enix provides this info:
Experience all new symphonic arrangements of the music of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH including beloved scores by Nobuo Uematsu and exciting new contributions from Mitsuto Suzuki, Masashi Hamauzu, and many other esteemed composers and arrangers, performed by an orchestra and chorus of over 100 musicians led by renowned conductor Arnie Roth.
The concert also features stunning, high-definition footage of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth compiled exclusively for the concert.
Of course, the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Orchestra World Tour will tour other cities across the world. However, the two concerts at Carnegie Hall will feature an extra-special performance. Singer Loren Allred will perform “No Promises to Keep,” the powerful theme of Rebirth made in collaboration with renowned composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Allred features in the game as the singing voice of Aerith, who performs the show-stopping number at the Gold Saucer. Outside of the game, Allred is also known for her multi-platinum hit “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman.
In our review of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, we awarded the middle-part of the remake trilogy a perfect score. We particularly loved the music, noting “the soundtrack is marvelous, elevating certain moments to epic proportions.”
