We already knew about 40K Space Marine II’s co-op mode that lets up to three players play throughout the game’s campaign. A new mode called “Operations” has been revealed today, and it’s an entirely different beast. This was revealed during the ongoing Warhammer Skulls 2024 event.
In Operations Mode, you’ll still be able to play with two other players, but you’ll be able to play through missions using customized classes and against three other players via PVP. So far, classes are Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy. Each class will be as as being able to select various weapons, such as weapons, changing colors and bringing something unique to the game. For example, the Sniper will excel at sniping, while the Bulwark will be able to equip shields.

I’m so damned glad they decided to delay the game from its initial 2023 release date, as this is shaping up to be yet another fantastic gem for 2024. Co-op PVE and 6-player PVP? Yep, straight into my veins.
Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2’s release date is September 9, 2024, and will be available on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
