SHIFT UP Plans PC Version and Sequel for Stellar Blade

SHIFT UP, the developer behind Stellar Blade, is contemplating a PC version and a sequel for the game. According to their recent IPO filing, the company is also working on a new cross-platform project called Project Witches. This project is still in the early stages of development but aims to launch globally on console, PC, and mobile by 2027, featuring cross-play capabilities.

Project Witches is described as SHIFT UP’s next-generation mega subculture intellectual property, similar to games like Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Fate/Grand Order. The studio plans to accelerate development in 2024 by hiring new talent.

The IPO document reveals that plans for Stellar Blade include a potential PC version and a sequel, though specific release dates are not yet determined. Additionally, the company aims to introduce new gameplay elements, downloadable content, and intellectual property collaborations to enhance the game.

Stellar Blade, which launched on PlayStation 5 on April 26, has exceeded sales expectations. SHIFT UP believes that developing new intellectual properties will allow them to grow sustainably compared to other game companies relying on existing properties.
