Known around the world as Goku Day, May 9 marks the day where Dragon Ball was to be celebrated; however, this year Goku Day is being celebrated for the first time without Akira Toriyama.
However, despite Toriyama no longer being with us, fans rallied together and found a way to honor him through Dragon Ball Z’s theme song.
On the SmallButera YouTube channel, a fan-animated tribute to the Americanized Dragon Ball Z theme song paid homage to the legendary manga creator. Titled Rock the Dragon Animation Jam, the one-minute, and thirty-five-second animation is sure to bring back memories and you can check it out below:
