Finding silver Ore and Silver Ingots in No Rest For The Wicked can be quite the pain in the rear. This is mainly because finding them is quite an endeavor, but isn’t impossible. In this guide, I’ll break down how to acquire both resources and hopefully save you some sanity.
Also, keep in mind that No Rest For The Wicked is an Early Access title, and things could change. If we’re lucky, Moon Studios will increase the locations where we can farm the Silver Ingots, which are a needed resource for upgrading higher-end weapons and gear.
Where to Get Silver Ore and Silver Ingots
There are a couple of ways to get your hands on Silver Ore and Silver Ingots. So, let’s start with the easier methods and work our way down. Starting with your blacksmith friend Fillmore, whom you saved at the start of the game, and Grinnch, the vendor who can get you anything, come in.
Upgrading the Blacksmith to level three.
If you collect enough materials, you can upgrade the Blacksmith’s station to level three. At that point, you’ll be able to purchase as many Silver Ingots as you need. However, they are pricey and will require some silver from you as well. It’s the easiest but costly option.
Upgrading Grinnich vendor to level three
Need to easiest is upgrading Grinnich’s station, as his loot table rotates quite a bit. Here, you’ll be able to purchase both Silver Ore and Silver Ingots. The downside is that both are both expensive and limited in stock. Once you purchase all that he has on hand, you’ll have to wait until he stocks back up again.
The fact that Grrinich sells Silver Ore is a bonus, as I’ve seen a challenge to collect five Silver Ore. Stock up when you can.
Farming Iona’s Cavern
Interestingly enough, Iona’s Cavern is both an early game location that randomly has Silver Ore deposits and also a quest that gives you access to the Exlixr vendor that will set up shop in Sacrament when completed. To find Iona’s Cavern, start at either Sacrament or the Orban Glades Cerim Whisper and head left, towards Mariner’s Keep. You’ll come to a bridge, and below it you’ll see a ledge that seemingly looks like you can reach. However, just below the bridge is a ladder that’s carefully hidden, and most will miss.
Climbing down the ladder and entering the entrance will take you to Iona’s Cavern.
Ignoring the quest or not, you’ll find Silver Ore spots around the cave. I’ve only seen two so far, and they randomly appear in the cave. You can tell the difference as they look very completely different from the other ores you’ve been farming prior.
Now, while I’m sure that you may be able to find Silver Ore deposits in other places, this is the only place in the game I’ve been able to nearly constiently farm them.
The Cerim Crucible
The Cerim Crucible is the end-game content that is currently available in No Rest For The Wicked Early Access, and you’re able to find Silver Ingots here. Enemies found in this location will drop Silver Ignots and it is a somewhat reliable place to farm them, assuming you are geared up and leveled up for this location.
That’s it for now. Again, I’m sure that with more updates from Moon Studios, loot tables, and mining rates and locations will change. But for now, if you’re looking for Silver Ore and Silver Ingots, these are the best or only places to find them.
