Today, GKIDS announced that they are bringing a family-favorite classic anime to U.S. theaters for the first time ever. Later this month, the heartwarming classic Boku no Pico will be broadcast in select theaters throughout the United States in subtitled and, for the first time, English dub formats.
“We believe that anime fans have been asking for this for far too long,” said Eric Beckman, co-founder of GKIDS. “We are excited to bring this wish to reality. At last, the promise has been made.”
To celebrate the OVA’s theatrical release, a special 3D version will be available where audience members can experience the tender story in ways they never thought possible before.
In addition, lucky fans can even take home special popcorn buckets that when reached into for their favorite buttery salty snack, their wrists are immediately clamped in handcuffs.
