The Star Wars universe is in a unique place right now. The TV shows have kept the franchise going while the movies have been trying to regroup, and now, the TV series is starting to make the jump to the big screen. The Mandalorian and Grogu has been announced, and many hope this can revitalize the brand in theaters. However, Lucasfilm hasn’t forgotten about Disney+, and their next series is coming out this June via Star Wars The Acolyte.
The show is set in the days of the High Republic, a period untouched in live-action to this point. The goal is to highlight how the Sith started to amass power once again and how it led, at least in part, to the saga we all know.
