It’s almost showtime! Princess Peach Showtime, that is. The game is the next first-party title from Nintendo for the Switch this year, and it’s the first to be an all-new title for the platform. Plus, this is only Peach’s second solo title, so many are hoping that it’s a hit and not a piece of shovelware. Thankfully, the early reviews of the game have hit Metacritic, and the response is positive overall. The game currently has a score of 75, which means it’s a good game in most reviewers’ eyes.
I put a tweet containing many of the review scores below, and you’ll notice that many of them rate Princess Peach Showtime highly. When you go into the Metacritic reviews, you’ll hear that the game is fun, charming, makes good use of the stage aesthetic, and truly lets Princess Peach shine on her own.
The biggest criticism is that it’s a tad short, and the difficulty isn’t that high. But considering this was definitely meant for the more “casual audience,” they can get away with that. The title releases TOMORROW on Nintendo Switch, and there’s a demo for the game right now if you want to form your own opinion before diving in!
