Multiversus, the Smash-like fighting game with Warner Bros franchises in tow – will officially re-launch in May. The game was shut down last year in June as a beta, rendering it only playable offline.
According to the developer Player First, the game has been redone with Unreal Engine 5, which seems to be the standard for most fighting games lately. Player First Games game director Tony Huynh promises new moves and new characters for the game.
It seems that some more legacy members of the Cartoon Network fold will be included. There is a hint that The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter’s Lab will be included with Dexter’s Lab, and Townsville – the usual setting for the Powerpuff Girls, has a few fight screens in terms of concept art. That being said, I’m hoping for Bronze Tiger(especially THIS Bronze Tiger), Monkey, and Samurai Jack soon.
The party starts on May 28th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
