The debate on what is the “greatest video game of all time” is rather heated. After all, you have icons of the past going up against modern marvels, and sometimes, it’s hard to pick one when there have been so many great games in history. To that end, Game Informer set a special March Madness-style bracket for fans to vote on and determine what is the best game ever. And after 200,000 people voted, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time was the game that came out on top. Not mad about that at all!
The finals of the bracket put Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time against The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is a big matchup when you think about it, but the classic N64 title came out on top. The others in the “Final Four” were The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Many honestly consider Ocarina of Time to be the best game ever because of how it helped evolve the gaming world and refined 3D gaming in some epic ways. To this day, it influences The Legend of Zelda franchise, and the series continues to live up to its legacy.
