During the September 2023 PlayStation State of Play, not only did we get a look at the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but we also got word that the game is also getting a collector’s edition. And, oh my gosh, this collector’s edition looks amazing. Yep, I think I need this, especially since I skipped out on the Final Fantasy VII Remake CE, and I’m still upset about that.
Just looking at that thing, this looks quite expensive. And while the art for the game says it’s available for pre-der, I’ve checked the Square Enix store, Best Buy, Amazon, and Gamestop, and none of them have the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Collector’s Edition available as of yet. The CE was/is available at Square Enix’s online store, priced at $350, but as of now has sold out.
Sadly, the store wasn’t ready for the amount of people ready to purchase the CE, and I suspect a few botters were also involved due to the number of CE’s available on eBay as of now. Fingers crossed that this gets restocked, as it would stink to have it sold out in less than an hour with no chance for most people to get one.
Here’s what’s included.
- Steelbook case for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
- Copy of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Collector’s Edition (2 Blu-rays)
- Physical mini-soundtrack
- Art of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth physical artbook.
- 19-inch Statue of Sephiroth
- Digital DLC items include Summoning Materia DLC, allowing players to summon the Moogle Trio, and the Magic Pot, along with equipment, like the Reclaimant Choker accessory and the Orchid Bracelet armor.
