Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is easily one of the biggest games of the back half of 2023. The first game was pretty much a masterpiece, and the sequel by Insomniac Games promises to be even more. At San Diego Comic-Con, a panel called “Symbiotic Relationships” went on and dropped tons of new details for the game, alongside a new story trailer.
For example, when we start the game, Peter, Miles, and MJ are all going through personal and professional struggles. Peter is trying to keep Aunt May’s house despite having no money, Miles is focusing more on Spider-Man than being Miles Morales, and Mary Jane is dealing with a “familiar boss” at the Daily Bugle.
Just when things couldn’t get crazier, Kraven The Hunter arrives, as does the return of Harry Osborne. Both will bring chaos to New York City, especially as the Symbiote rises to take control of Peter and others. Will everyone make it out okay? What darkness will Peter and Miles step into to try and get what they feel is right?
We’ll find out when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 arrives on October 20th on PS5.
