There’s a garden at Ward 13 in Remant 2 that players haven’t been able to figure out until now. That pile of dirt is part of a quest that involves the Ornate Key and Ornate Lockbox, which we posted in our Remnant 2 Ornate Lockbox guide.
Once you have the Ornate Lockbox and Key, you combine the two and open the box which produces the Thean Seed. Now, you can either take this seed to the Empress at the Red Thron on Yaesha or take it to Ward 13, which I recommend doing. Back at Ward 13, take the seed to the garden and place it in that pile of dir. There it will grow and produce a tree that will spawn several different versions of a fruit called the Thaen Fruit, given if you wait long enough. If you pick them too soon, you’ll just get scrap instead.
All of these fruits will provide health buffs, as well as make players immune to status effects for 30 seconds. The downside is that any version of the fruit has a 60-minute cooldown, and the effects do not persist through death.
- Mature Thaen Fruit: Revive players with 30% health. Immune to status effects for 30 seconds.
- Elder Thaen Fruit: Revive players with 40% health. Immune to status effects for 30 seconds.
- Celestial Thaen Fruit: Revive players with 50% health. Immune to status effects for 30 seconds.
Here’s the entire process in video.
So, there you go. Yet another mystery is solved in Remnant 2.
