Increasing your storage in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would be incredibly helpful. You can grab more weapons and armor, and make sure you have a varied arsenal for any occasion. One of the most annoying factors of the game is lightning as you can’t equip any metallic weapons; otherwise, you’ll get hit by it. Thankfully, you can have more room for wooden-based weapons in your bag as well.
Here’s how to increase storage in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to improve storage in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To increase your storage space in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to find Hestu in the open world. This tree-like creature is spotted northeast of the Sinakawak Shrine and New Serene Stable. It’s also northeast of Lookout Landing. As you’re going up the landscape, you may also spot Lindor’s Brow tower as well in the distance.
Once you meet the adorable Hestu, you’ll find out he’s scared of the trees ahead. Beware, they actually move and attack you. Equip a weapon that can slice through wood like an axe or a sharp sword. Defeat them, and he’ll start talking to you. He says he wants to improve your storage space, but he needs Korok seeds in his maracas to do so. Gather a Korok seed from anywhere in the open world, and then return to Hestu.
Once you bring a Korok seed to Hestu, you can choose an improvement in your weapon, bow, and shield stash. For now, let’s improve the weapon stash. A cutscene begins to play. If you want to skip it, press Y. It is quite amusing, however, so watch it at least once. After this, you’ll now have one more weapon slot.
If you’ve gathered quite a lot of Korok seeds, talk to Hestu again to renew the process. He’ll disappear after the second service, however. You’ll find him back at the Lookout Landing, and then once you’ve finished the Korok Forest area in the open world, he’ll relocate for a final time there. This process is arguably easier than getting a horse, in my opinion.
How do the equipment upgrades work?
You can improve your weapon stash again, but it will come at a greater cost. With every upgrade, you’ll need one more Korok seed than the last. For example, the second time you upgrade with Hestu, you’ll need two Korok seeds to improve the weapon stash.
