Kaede Honjo returns to prove the best offense is a great defense in BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense. Season 2, coming to Crunchyroll in January 2023. As her VRMMO alias Maple, she and her guild journey through NewWorld Online gaining friends and foes in new battle-filled quests. Based on the light novel written by Yuumikan and illustrated by Koin, as well as a manga with art by Jirō Oimoto, a look at the trailer from studio Silver Link depicts Maple, once again, is unmatched.
Coming to Crunchyroll in April 2023 is The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke’s Mansion, based on a Korean web novel written by Milcha and adapted into a webtoon illustrated by Whale. Produced by studio Typhoon Graphics, the story follows Park Eunha who enters the world of a novel after a mysterious death. She is revived as a minor character, Raeliana McMillan, who is to be poisoned to death by her own betrothed. The trailer shared during the panel teases the mystery to come.
Based on the light novel written by Rokujuyon Okazawa and illustrated by sage•joh, as well as the manga adaptation by Rurekutye, the Encourage Films produced anime Chillin’ in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army is set to come to Crunchyroll in January 2023. A teaser trailer features Dariel, a former dark soldier fired for no longer being able to wield magic, who sets out on a new life as an adventurer.
In My Home Hero, Tetsuo Tosu, a middle-aged salaryman who becomes embroiled in the criminal underworld after he confronts and accidentally kills his college-age daughter’s abusive gangster boyfriend. Coming to Crunchyroll in April 2023 from Tezuka Productions, the trailer shows Tetsuo backed into a corner and must use any means at his disposal to protect his family. The impossible-to-predict psychological thriller series is based on the manga of the same name written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki.
Sorcerous Stabber Orphen -Chaos in Urbanrama-, the third season of the exciting series coming to Crunchyroll in January 2023, continues the journey of Orphen that will change the fate of the world. The teaser trailer from Studio DEEN previews the continuation of the 2020 remake of the anime of the same name from 1998 based on the light novel written by Yoshinobu Akita.
Ever since their father died, Ichirou Kuga has struggled to support his two younger siblings on nothing but a small inheritance and his passion for drawing manga. A Galaxy Next Door, tells the story of what happens when Kuga’s new mysterious assistant, Shiori Goshiki, declares them to be engaged to be married. Coming to Crunchyroll in April 2023, the trailer features the budding romance between the struggling mangaka and the princess of a shooting star produced by Asahi Production and adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Gido Amagakure.
Arriving in January 2023 to Crunchyroll comes The Fire Hunter, produced by Signal.MD and based on the manga Hikari no Ou written by Rieko Hinata and illustrated by Akihiro Yamada. The teaser illustrates the magical world of Flame Demons and the only ones who can protect humanity from them, the Fire Hunters.
Lastly, based on the manga written and illustrated by Taku Kawamura, My Clueless First Friend comes to Crunchyroll in 2023. Produced by Studio Signpost, the trailer highlights the overly enthusiastic new middle school transfer student Taiyo Takada who befriends the reserved Akane Nishimura on his first day.
