Striking Distance Studios’ upcoming survival horror title, The Callisto Protocol, PC specs have been revealed via the official Twitter account. Well, just the minimum and recommended specs have been at least. The high and ultra PC specs haven’t been mentioned yet, but according to the official Twitter account, those will be coming soon.
Still, this is enough to see if your PC can at least play the game at the baseline configuration. Check out the minimum and recommendation PC requirements below.
Minimum
OS: Windows 10/11
Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Memory: 8 GB RAM
DirectX Version: Version 11
Storage: 75 GB
Recommended
OS: Windows 10/11
Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Memory: 16 GB
DirectX Version: Version 12
Storage: 75 GB (SSD recommended)
While there’s no resolution or settings mentioned, we can assume by the requirements that this is at least 720p to 1080p at medium settings.
That said, we can at least rule out the game incorporating Nvidia’s DLSS support, as AMD and Striking Distance Studios had teamed up to develop The Callisto Protocol. AMD’s FSR isn’t off the table, and more than likely will be included. Of course, we’ll know more once the high and ultra settings are revealed.
Of course, it’s not all good news, as the game’s Steam page shows that the anti-temper software, Denuvo, is present. Not only that, but it seems that the game will only allow you to reactivate the game just five times. Here’s to hoping that this gets reversed after the game is released, but I’m also hoping that Denuvo doesn’t cause any performance issues as it has for other games in the past.
When The Callisto Protocol launches, it will include a performance mode for the consoles, allowing the game to be played at 1080p@60fps. While I’m looking to see how that performs, I’m really looking forward to seeing just how far I can push the game on my PC. It should be epic.
The Callisto Protocol releases for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, on December 2nd, 2022.
