The Nintendo Switch continues to be the hottest console on the market, and the only question now is how high things will get for it before the end of its run. To that end, the latest quarter of financial data for Nintendo has been released, and it once again showcases the Switch in high demand. All told, from July to September, the Switch sold 6.68 million units. That brings its grand total across all three variations of systems to 114.33 million units. That’s a lot of switches.
Just as impressive, the overall software sales for the Nintendo Switch are at 917 million units! Given a certain release coming this month, we’d bet they’ll get to a billion before the year is over. But that’s just us.
The bad news is that the hardware sales are lower than last year’s. But that’s because of the semiconductor shortage and other components not being as available as before.
