Ahead of next week’s Evil West developer stream, Flying Hog Wild released a new video about the multiplayer co-op feature. Until now, there wasn’t much information on how the co-op mode would work. Now, we have the goods.
As per Flying Wild Hog, two players can play the entire campaign online. However, only the host’s story will progress, while the second player is only there for the ride. Meaning, that if you and a friend play through the entire game and your friend is the host, only your friend will get credit for finishing the game.
I know this is disheartening for some, but it makes sense to do it like this. Especially if someone jumps into your game and you’re nearly at the end, and they just started. They’d miss out on the story, and that’s not fair to them.
On the other hand, when two players play Evil West’s multiplayer co-op mode, the challenges will get harder, and the number and variety of enemies will change. I’d imagine there’s more to it, but Flying Wild Hog hasn’t said what.
While you wait for the game to be released, check out our “Everything we know about Evil West” so you know what you’re getting into. Damn, I’m really excited, and we’re just over a month away from the game being dropped into our hands.
Evil West smashes its way onto the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One on November 22, 2022, and I’m looking forward to getting lost in it.
