Anyone who knows of the Pretty Girls games should understand its formula. Basically, they take a simple puzzle type of game and add more obstacles and girls to the mix. This one isn’t very different, but if you are in it for the pretty girls in this Pretty Girls game, then you know what you are in for. Note that there is no nudity in this game. These girls have different outfits but none of them are going to get naked for you. Which is good. This is mainly a game focused on puzzles with a small mode designed to orient and dress up the girls in the game.
Escape
You have two modes you can play in the game, Stage Mode and Challenge Mode. Stage Mode has you play six stages with each character mainly focusing on one game aspect. In Pretty Girls Escape Stage Mode, you want to get the tiles that represent your character to the blue portal tiles on the bottom to escape the stage. To do this, you match up tiles of the same colors and touch them with the cursor (or on the Nintendo Switch, your finger works too). When you touch a color tile, any tile with that same color next to it will disappear. Just be careful that you don’t get tiles stuck to other colors. If there are no tiles with the same color next to a tile, you can’t remove it until you get another same-colored tile to touch it. You can do this by removing another color of tile or by pressing the right or left buttons on the side that will shift tiles all the way to the right or left.
Throughout each character, different obstacles make the game more challenging. You can get tiles that can not be moved, or boxes that require colors to be removed twice before they will be removed from the space. Each new obstacle provides a new level of tactical thinking in order to complete them.
The other mode is called Challenge Mode. This one has specific criteria to get the girl to escape from the space. You have a lot less tiles on the board, but you need to be a lot more specific in your moves. Make sure you do some trial and error in terms of figuring out how to get some tiles on top of other ones.
Pretty Girls
Pretty Girls Escape has fantastic art for each character the game has featured. It only has a variety art for those characters with expressions you can change only in the dressing mode. Dressing mode is the only thing you can get unlockables in. You can use the points you earn from beating the stages to buy outfits and backgrounds for dressing mode. Each character has three total outfits you can change around with. You can also add sticker effects to the girls as well. This is a great feature to add as it gives some incentive to complete missions to get extra points in the Stage mode. Having unlockables you can earn from going the extra mile is something I enjoy having as a reward.
However, as you play the game, you’ll realize that it doesn’t feature much content. You have eight girls with six stages each. Also, having 20 stages for challenge mode means this game can be completed fully in only an hour or three, depending on how good you are at figuring out puzzles.
Once you beat all the modes, there isn’t much reason to try out more of the game. You can do more dressing room stuff, but that is about it. While there isn’t much content in this game, it is also very affordable, so that isn’t too much of a problem.
Value
Overall, this game is a fun time-sink if you have a few minutes or don’t want to invest too much into something. If you don’t have time to play something in-depth but want to have a fun, engaging, and satisfying puzzle game, then this is a good one to try out. The worst-case scenario is you lose $6. I may not have spent much time on this game, but it was an enjoyable hour and a half to figure out the puzzles and how to get all the stages unlocked.
Pretty Girls Escape is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation consoles.
