We’re just one week away from the release of Spider-Man Remastered swings onto PCs, and Insomniac Games wants everyone to know they didn’t come to play. Today, the developer announced via Twitter that the hyper-successful PlayStation 4/5 has been verified for the Steam Deck.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is Steam Deck Verified! ✅

Spider-Man Remastered for the PC will be available on August 12th, 2022, and you can purchase the game on either Steam or the Epic Games Store.
For those not keeping score, there are thousands of PC games currently available to play on the Steam Deck. They need to be verified by Steam, so there are no issues. Currently, there are four levels when it comes to Steam Deck verification.
- Verified – Games will play on the Steam Deck with no issue.
- Playable – Games will play but may require some tweaking.
- Unsupported – Games will not run on the Steam Deck at all.
- Unknown – It hasn’t been checked for verification, and it is unknown if it will work.
With Spider-Man Remastered being verified, it means the game will run with (hopefully) no issues on the Steam Deck. Just like the prior PlayStation titles God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn (after a number of updates).
When Spider-Man Remastered swings onto the PC next week, the game will come with a number of PC features. Including Nvidia’s DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing) Ultrawide screen support, ray-traced reflections, unlocked framerates, and support for the DualSense controller.
It seems like it will be an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to play it all over again, this time on an ultra-powerful PC. Of course, once we get our hands on the game, we’ll also be happy to inform our readers of the performance on the Steam Deck.
