The bosses continue to get harder as we reach the second land of the game Anura. You’ll find that this is certainly the case with Gusion, which can create much more damage than its predecessors. Here’s how to beat Gusion in Cult of the Lamb.
How to Defeat Gusion in Cult of the Lamb
Gusion is a toad-like beast that hops around the arena, burps out terrifying projectiles, and can lay eggs that, once open, reveal more enemies under it. Like other bosses before it, keep dodging around the stage. However, this time, you’ll want to use your ranged weapon like the poisonous sludge we show in the picture to dish out some excellent AoE damage (area of effect).
It will hop in a furious fashion, and unlike prior bosses in Cult of the Lamb, it has a decent range of damage that is sent out rather than the incy wincy damage area of Valefor. On the other hand, it does worse than Valefor are the fireballs that leave Gusion’s mouth. Rather than a circle, they’re compact and can be easily missed. Just make sure to note that it sends out two waves of fireballs one after the other. It usually does just two, so be wary of that quirk.
As it lays eggs, make sure you take out some of the weaker enemies that surround Gusion so you’re not surrounded by too many. Once an egg hatches, it will unleash two more foes onto the field. Pay attention as you’re dodging Gusion’s attacks, and make sure you don’t get overwhelmed.
When striking Gusion between its constant jumps, you should know it will activate its jumps every two or so seconds. Get one hit in, dodge left or right, and then get a hit in again. Be very conservative and patient when hitting the monster. It will soon run out of health once you’ve got these tactics down.
