As you play through Arcadegeddon, you’ll encounter what are called Hack Cards, temporary buffs or modifiers that will benefit you.
As they’re temporary, they’ll only be helpful for the run that you acquire the hack cards in. These will be found either by looting the blue, pink, and golden chests you’ll find scattered throughout the stages or dropped by enemies. The higher difficulty you play at, the more helpful and varied hack cards you’ll find.
There will be times when you’ll find duplicate cards, and while the game doesn’t mention it, you can continue to pick up the duplicate cards, and you’ll get a minor buff. Yes, you can continue to stack cards in Arcadegeddon. So when you come across a hack card, pick it up. There’s no sense worrying about if you already have it or not. These are in the game to help you, so pick them all up.
There’s an exemption to this as certain cards such as provide damage reduction, such as armor upgrades, and health additions will max out. This will be indicated by the word max shown in the hack card inventory. However, as I’ve noticed, it takes a while for that to happen.
Arcadegeddon is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. The game also features cross-play, so you can group up with other platforms and play together.
