The impressive Backbone One mobile gaming controller was exclusive to the Apple iPhone line-up for the longest time. However, that’s about to change as the Backbone One will finally be offered for Android devices.
Yes, it’s finally happening; our prayers have been heard. Similar to the iPhone version, the Backbone One for Android will include a USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone Jack and will come in Black. It features four buttons in the front, with triggers and bumpers buttons on the controller’s left and right top sides. As long as you have a current Android device that uses a USB-C port to charge, you’ll be able to use the Backbone.
The Backbone One for Android is currently available for preorder at Backbone’s website, priced at $99.99, but won’t start shipping until November 2022.
If you can’t wait until then, an alternative is the Razer Kishi v2. It sports a similar shape to the Backbone and is available now. It’s one of the best mobile controllers available for Android and comes highly recommended by our very own Kyle Simcox.
I highly recommend the Kishi v2, which is pretty similar in shape to the backbone.
