While you may already know that Xbox will be hosting the Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase on June 12, 2022. What you didn’t know is that Xbox revealed today that it will also host an extended look at whatever is going to be revealed this weekend. On June 14, 2022, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, this extended look will go much deeper.
According to a blog post, the Xbox Games Showcase Extended will share “new trailers, take deeper looks at the news from the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, and speak with some of your favorite game creators.” This extended show will run for 90-minutes and will be available on both Twitch and YouTube.

This event development is interesting, as not only is Xbox hosting two different gaming events during the same week. It makes you wonder just what we’re going to see on June 12, 2022, and why Xbox feels that another show is warranted to give us even more trailers and a deeper dive into whatever is shown. I’m not saying this is a bad thing; it’s just that this is all of a sudden, you know?
Either way, I’m down with this, and hopefully, Xbox has something to offer its fans. Especially since both Starfield and Redfall were delayed. Both of those games were major titles that were in the wings for Xbox. Now that both have been delayed, there’s a massive hole in first-party titles for Xbox. Sadly, this gives more ammo for the naysayers to point fingers at Xbox and chant, “Xbox has no games”.
I’m hoping for news and maybe a look at Forza Motorsport 8, and Avowed, myself. Perhaps we’ll finally get an update on Fable as well. Or, perhaps some brand new game or games that has been in the works that no one even knows about.
Either way, both June 12 and June 14 will be exciting days for gamers, so make sure you don’t miss either.
