Without any official announcement from Blizzard, a pre-registration page for Diablo IV has appeared.
Despite Activision-Blizzard not hosting a gaming event or live stream, the pre-registration page for Diablo IV is currently accepting signups. To register, you’ll need an existing Battle.net account, or you’ll have to create a new account.
Once registered, you’ll have a chance to be included in future beta tests and will receive new information for Diablo IV.
As for why this is, I can only speculate that perhaps Diablo IV will make an appearance during either the PC Gaming show or the Xbox and Bethesda showcase. Both of these Summer Game Fest additions are scheduled for June 12, 2022, so between the two, we’re likely going to get some Diablo 4 news.
That is unless the pre-registration going up was just a coincidence. Or maybe not. It wasn’t that long ago that Rod Fergusson mentioned that we’ll hear something on Diablo IV “very soon.” This was during the launch of Diablo Immortal, which was just a week ago.
What’s even more interesting is that only the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is listed for the console versions. Meaning, that Diablo IV isn’t headed to either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, and this information wasn’t previously known. At least, not to my knowledge.
The Diablo series is one of my favorite gaming series, and I’ve been waiting for an update regarding Diablo 4. Hopefully, we’ll get that tomorrow and in an abundance.
