Nintendo Switch Has Crossed 107 Million Units Sold

The Nintendo Switch has been climbing the ranks of the best-selling consoles since basically its debut. And now, a new breakdown puts the Switch at almost 108 million sold. With over 23 million sold in the last financial year. While that absolutely is impressive, it should be noted that this is a 20% decline in what they did last year, and that is expected to increase in the upcoming financial year.

Not because the Nintendo Switch hasn’t done well overall obviously, but because of the global chip shortage that is still going on, and how it’s still affecting all the major console players. It also should be noted that around 25% of the year’s Switch sales were the new OLED unit, Nintendo said, showing that people were indeed interested in the “upgrade”.

As for the next financial year, Nintendo hopes that it’ll sell about 21 million Switches. If they are able to do that, they’ll be able to cross the amount held by the PS4.
