Nintendo has now confirmed that Splatoon 3 is now set to release on September 9th. Little after the Summer window when it was initially announced. This is after the news of Xenoblade 3 releasing early on July 29. Nintendo also has brand new gameplay to show off including Turf War and plenty of new details. Funny how this was predicted in the last Nintendo Entertainment Podcast.
We finally see in-game footage of the Turf War and there is a lot to note. We see how the players will be launching to the field, which was shown briefly in prior trailers. It also seems that players will now be able to customize their own banners with unique titles this time around as it shows the players’ names before the match begins. We also see the new specials as well. We now see the Zip Caster in which players can tether and pull to locations ala Spider-Man. We also see the Crab tank and the return of classic specials but in new forms. For the ink strikes, it is now as three grenades to mark the strike. We also have a new form of the Killer Wail, which is in portable orb speakers that will chase down foes. We also get a new form of the Inkzooka called the Trizooka. Basically the Inkzooka but now it shoots three rotating shots at once for an instant kill. We also get to see a new special in which one vacuums any ink shots for a period and returns the shot when it ends. The trailer ends with a new end screen which shows off more style of the players in new victory animations.
We also have more details in regards to the bow weapon, which is called the Tri Stringer. This weapon can be shot horizontal or vertical either on foot or while jumping.
Behold! We've captured footage of a stringer type weapon. This is the Tri-Stringer, which can fire in three directions simultaneously and unleash charged shots that briefly freeze before exploding. Our lab is hoping to obtain one of these for further p̶l̶a̶y̶ research. pic.twitter.com/pDObe3Gw5O

Of course, being in new lands, we got to have new clothes and a new style to stay fresh. We see new hoddies and shorts from the Krak-On brand. There will be more clothes and styles to be revealed later.
The brand Krak-On is known for canvas sneakers, but now it appears to be offering shirts and hoodies with a vintage look. And this retro gear is far from outdated when it comes to supplementing one's abilities—we're keeping a close eye on the latest offerings. For science. pic.twitter.com/DffcgIiBjG

One more HUGE update! We've learned that the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC is now playable without any extra charge for owners of the Splatoon 2 game that have a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. What a research opportunity!https://t.co/IjXoqZFLbr pic.twitter.com/HFZCszvYq3
