The Witcher Season 2 has been in the works since basically season 1 ended, but because of the global pandemic and injuries on set, things couldn’t get done for the second season to be released. However, now it is out, and it’s clear that the two-year gap didn’t hurt people’s desire to watch it.
Because according to stats, The Witcher Season 2 had viewers watching 142.4 million hours in just three days. That’s very impressive. Also, a lot of people were watching Season 1 (nearly 50 million hours worth) to get caught up on Season 2. Not exactly surprising.
This makes it clear that when Season 3 gets released, and hopefully in a much quicker timeframe, people will be watching it in droves then too.
