This PS5 console cover alternative looks good and won’t break the bank.
It was only a matter of time before PlayStation announced its “official” PlayStation 5 console covers. This is precisely why the company was adamant about stopping other companies from producing and selling them. However, if the official PS5 console covers are either out of your price range, or you refuse to pay the asking price. There is an option, but I’d hurry because they likely won’t be around long.
With Dbrand no longer selling them and various other companies selling them on Amazon and eBay, some PS5 console covers vary in quality. After testing several of those console covers, I ultimately discovered the Benazcap PS5 Faceplates and found that these were the best ones I’ve used thus far. Available in Black and Cosmic Red, for the PS5 digital and disc consoles, these are $20 cheaper than what PlayStation is asking for the covers.
The quality has been excellent. They’re sturdy, easy to install, and I’ve been happy with them. The only thing missing is the “official” PlayStation logo, which, honestly, I don’t care about. It’s not like I’m going to check for the logo before I play a game. You can currently purchase these on Amazon for $32.99 for the PlayStation digital and $35.99 for the PlayStation 5. The Benazcap PS5 Faceplate is an excellent alternative and less expensive.
Here’s an image of the black and cosmic red Benazcap PS5 console covers that I’ve installed on my consoles. I dig how they look, even if the black console cover is a dust magnet.
I’m sure some only go after the official products, and that’s fine. However, I’d recommend these if you are not keen on sending $55 for a PlayStation 5 console cover or faceplate. Do what you want; it’s your money, and I’m not here to tell you how to spend it.
Though, I’d get them before they’re gone. Either PlayStation will stop them from being sold, or they’re going to sell out.
