Once upon a time, Marvel Studios had the idea to expand the MCU post-Avengers to a set of TV series on Netflix. This was YEARS before Disney+ was a thing, and the results were mostly successful. The shows were “set” in the MCU, and featured the group that would be the Defenders, as well as a Punisher spinoff that came around. The highlight though was the Daredevil series that starred Charlie Cox.
However, after two or three seasons of the shows (with Defenders only happening once), all the Netflix series were canceled due to the birth of Disney+, and since then fans have been asking for the return of Daredevil and the others (save for Iron Fist…just saying) and having them TRULY be in the MCU. Well…now we know that at least one of those things is happening, and it comes from Kevin Feige himself:
“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil,” Feige told CinemaBlend Sunday. “Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”
You can take this many different ways, including that we could see him soon (as he has been rumored for months now for Spider-Man No Way Home) or, he could arrive later on via Daredevil Season 4 or some other show like She-Hulk (as she’s a lawyer too). Either way, fans will get their wish…sooner or later.
