When Back 4 Blood was released, one of my main complaints was that I couldn’t play by myself and save any progression. I wasn’t the only one who had an issue with that, and thankfully, Turtlerock Studios has heard the frustration of the gaming community. In the latest Back 4 Blood roadmap, Solo Offline Campaign Progression, along with new gameplay features, a new card type, and new cards, is coming to the game as a free update in December 2021.
In addition to that, Back 4 Blood will see several quality of life improvements and bug fixtures this month with a slew of new stuff, including a new difficulty, more new player cards, a new co-op mode, melee updates, and more quality of life improvements throughout 2022.
We also got a look at the upcoming annual pass content, which includes the first expansion, Tunnels of Terror, which will be released in 2022. With two more expansions planned for later in 2022. These expansions will include new playable characters and types, new weapons and cards, and exclusive skins.
So if you were one of the many players who put the game down due to the constant bugs or lack of content or just wanted to play by yourself, Turtle Rock Studios wants you back.
While I enjoyed Back 4 Blood, there are too many bugs and glitches in the game for me. The last time I tried to play with several of the staff here, I couldn’t join the game as a bot replaced me. When I attempted to rejoin, the bot would not leave. This happened over 20 minutes or so when I just gave up. That was the last time I played, and I had sent Turtle Rock Studios a request to please fix that issue.
I can’t wait for all the bugs to be patched out of the game, so I can, and the rest of you can play the game as it was meant to be.
Back 4 Blood is available on the PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Check out our review of Back 4 Blood here.
