Rockstar Games has released some new information about the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. All the new information can be found here.
The definitive edition includes Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Visuals have been enhanced for consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Digitally the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy- The Definitive edition will be released November 11th, 2021. It will receive a physical release on December 7th, 2021. The physical release will be on all platforms except for PC, with only a PlayStation 4 physical release instead of both a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
In most of the community’s eyes, these are the three titles that set the standard for sandbox games and shaped the future of the Grand Theft Auto series. It makes sense for Rockstar to bring these three titles to current platforms. It stands to reason that many are anticipating replaying these titles with the new enhancements, me being one of them. It isn’t just visual enhancements that this trilogy is getting. It is confirmed that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will also be getting control updates for their platforms as well. The site even mentions that the Nintendo Switch version will have Gyro controls. PC version is also going to include Nvidia DLSS support.
Once Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition is released, Grand Theft: Auto San Andreas will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
